Patients with diabetes may have no reason to avoid getting dental implants and the benefits of them are well documented, I suggest blood glucose control may be a consideration in how the implants are managed. While good glucose control is important for individuals with diabetes, compromises in glucose control would not necessarily prevent them from receiving the benefits of dental implant treatment. After all, patients with Diabetes require dietary management to help control their blood sugar, so dental treatment under Dental Implants may actually help them gain better control by restoring their ability to eat better.
We recommend our patients who have diabetes and is not well controlled should always seek advice from their doctors, a poor blood glucose control by itself does not necessarily means that you could not take dental implant treatment. At Americas Dental Care we will be treating patients with Diabetes type 1 and 2 for over 10 years with awesome results under time, for us the clue is a good patient-doctor communication, oral hygiene and taking your treatment as indicated, so be sure we will give recommendations in your particular case, so you will smile and eat again with full confidence.
